Guernsey Scooter Rally 2025

The Guernsey Scooter Rally never fails to impress, and this year was as good as ever. A large number of the Jersey scooter fraternity traveled by boat to Guernsey. A short journey lasting 40 minutes. Our hotel, The Grange, was just outside of the main town, St Peter Port. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the facilities were just right. On arrival there were already scooters parked up. We dropped our bags off and headed to town.

Some of the Jersey Scooter Club had already arrived and we met at The Ship for a drink. From there we headed to Thomas De La Rue, a DJ was playing Northern Soul and Ska music, and before we knew it the place was packed with scooterists. I bumped in to friends from the mainland and France who I hadn't seen in a while and it was great to catch up with them.

On Saturday morning the Guernsey Rally ride out took place, but unfortunately due to the change of boat services, the Jersey team were unable to take scooters with them.

I would highly recommend Pier 17 restaurant to all visitors to Guernsey as the food was amazing. We ate there at lunch time and could not find fault. The location is perfect, and the view is stunning.

The organisers had arranged Saturday night's entertainment to take place on the island of Herm. An island no bigger than 1.5 miles, and I would urge you to visit this beautiful island only 20 minutes away from Guernsey. We decided to make the journey across to the island in the afternoon as we knew there would be long queues for the boat later in the day. The Mermaid pub was the venue for the evening event. Within a couple of hours the venue was packed. Everyone was enjoying the good weather, great company and music you couldn't help but dance to, and that was even before the band came on at 8pm. The Devotees played an excellent set, everything from The Who to The Kaiser Chiefs. The dance floor was never empty. Everyone knew the songs. This definitely topped off the Guernsey Rally. Going to Herm was a great idea and I don't think the organisers could have wished it to have been any more of a success. This was definitely one of the best day's out I have had in a long time. The band played for a couple of hours and then begrudgingly we had to make our way back to the boats and return to Guernsey.

The evening did not end there, as back at the Thomas De La Rue more ska and northern soul was playing. The perfect end to a great day.

As always the Guernsey scooter crew never fail to put on a good event, and this is up there with one of the best rallies I have been to so far. The organisation was top tier. Everyone I spoke to agreed the Guernsey Scooter Rally 2025 was an outstanding success.
