The Vespa PX seems a bit low??
I was at the workshop earlier this week and I took a quick look at my newly restored Vespa PX. I have always noticed that the front wheel is always quite high up in the air when the scooter is on its stand. Just out of curiosity, I took the right side panel off and had a look up the back of the scooter at the suspension. I then noticed that I had not fitted the extension nut which should be positioned in between the shock absorber and the shock absorber's silent block. No wonder the scooter was sitting so low! This meant that I had to remove the seat and tank to get to the nut which keeps the shock absorber in place. I will then be able to pull the shocker down out of the frame, and put the extension nut on. The scooter should then sit higher and the front wheel will be closer to the ground. Mistakes happen! Keep an eye out for more posts.
