Vespa GT Glovebox disaster

Sometimes some things don't go to plan. After fitting the glovebox to the GT, we noticed there were quite a few ripples in the paint around the edges of the glovebox where the trim sits. The mixture of the paint was not correct causing these indents. This means that the glovebox has to be sprayed again. Spraying scooters is never straight forward! To remove the old paint I had to use paint remover. This raised the paint from the glovebox. I then used a cement trowel to grind the paint off.

After the glovebox was back down to bare metal we primed it again to be ready for spraying. I am hoping it comes up well this time. Ah well we all have our drawbacks. Watch this space for the finished product!
